Ways to travel
Rail
Trains and the Al Boraq
Al Boraq, Africa’s high-speed train, links Tangier, Rabat and Casablanca, and classic trains continue to Marrakech and Fes. Works on the new Kenitra–Marrakech line can change timetables, so check before you travel.
Coaches
CTM and Supratours buses
Where the trains stop, comfortable coaches take over: Chefchaouen, Essaouira, Ouarzazate, Merzouga and the south are all reached by bus.
In town and between towns
Petit taxis and grand taxis
Petit taxis are city cabs with a colour per city, beige in Marrakech, red in Fes, blue in Rabat. Grand taxis are shared cars between towns that leave when full.
